Campbell UMC is located at 1747 East Republic Rd., just west of the YMCA and just east of Fremont Ave. You can see the church from James River Freeway (US-60 Highway), but the only direct access is from Republic Rd.
If you're coming from the WEST (Republic, Nixa), we suggest taking James River Freeway to the newly opened REPUBLIC RD/GLENSTONE AVE exit, where you will turn right at the stoplight and find the church on your right just after the next stoplight at Charleston Ave.
If you're coming from the EAST (Rogersville, US-65 Highway), we suggest taking James River Freeway to the GLENSTONE AVE/REPUBLIC RD exit, where you will take a left at the stoplight and find the church on your right about 3/4 of a mile, just after the stoplight at Charleston Ave.
Our Campus
Campbell's campus is comprised of three main parts:
The Main Building, which faces Republic Rd., will greet you with seasonal flowers, a flowing fountain, and a glass-lined entryway displaying the United Methodist cross and flame. The Main Building houses our church offices, fellowship hall, and main sanctuary.
The Main Building is connected to our Family Life Center, which sits directly to its north and faces James River Freeway. The Family Life Center houses a multitude of classrooms, our Small Wonders Child Development Center, our gym, and our kitchen.
The third component of our campus is simply The Barn out back, which sits to the north-east of the Family Life Center and is used for various ministries, but mostly by our Youth.
Entrances and Parking
There are two primary entrances to the church building. The main entrance is on the south side of the Main Building and faces Republic Rd. We suggest that all first-time visitors use this entrance, simply to reduce confusion.
The Atrium entrance is located on the west side of the building and will place you in between the Main Building and the Family Life Center. Just remember to follow the tile when you get inside, or else you might find yourself teaching a Children's Sunday School class!
And never fear: parking at Campbell is easy! There are spaces located around the entire church, from front to back. Also, during Sunday morning worship, Campbell's Hospitality Team offers Courtesy Parking! All you have to do is drive up to the main entrance and talk to a Hospitality volunteer. In fact, they'll be wearing hats or jackets, so you'll know exactly who to talk to.
Kids
Of course, children are always welcome at Campbell UMC! If you have small children that require nursery care, the nursery is located in the Family Life Center on the first floor; it will be the first room you come to if you head down the west/left hallway. And if you can't find it, please ASK! On Sunday mornings, there will always be a Hospitality Team member waiting for you at both entrances to help you and your kids find your way. For more information on our Children's ministries, including Sunday School and nursery care, please visit our Children's page!
Worship
Campbell's Sunday morning worship life is diverse and vivid! We have three unique opportunities for you to join us in worship beginning at 8:20am, 9:30am, and 10:50am. We are a church that is enriched by our tradition as well as our progression, so you will find that all three of our worship services have both traditional and modern elements.
However, there are a few differences. At 8:20am and 10:50am, music is led by our Director or Music Betty Salmon and includes organ, piano, and traditional hymns as well as special music by our two excellent choirs. At 9:30, music is led by our Contemporary Worship Director Kory Wilcox and includes modern worship songs, rearranged hymns, and other special music by our CUMC Praise Band.
Also, Sunday School at Campbell is meant for all ages and all interests! Our main Sunday School hour is 9:30, but we also have a few classes available at 10:50, as well. You can find details about the 'when' and 'where' on the Adult, Youth, and Children's ministry pages.
