Local Ministries

Crosslines
On the 4th Thursday of every month, Campbell UMC volunteers serve at the local emergency food pantry, Crosslines. We provide groceries for 45 families during our work day.

The Kitchen
On the 2nd Thursday of every month, Campbell UMC volunteers serve at the local food kitchen on Commercial Street in downtown Springfield. The Kitchen serves around 75 people per night who are needing a hot meal.
Shady Dell Early Childhood Center Campbell UMC adopted this program of the Springfield Public Schools a few years ago. We have occasional work days on their campus putting in flower gardens and straightening their food and clothes closets. We also have periodic collections for seasonal needs like coats and socks.

National Ministries

Missions Trips
Throughout the year, volunteers from our congregation, both youth and adults, spend their own time and money to travel and commit a week to serving communities outside of the Springfield area. Some organizations we have partnered with in the past include UMCOR, St. Bernard Project, and SOS Memphis.
Disaster Response
Whether locally or nationally, When a tornado or other natural disaster hits an area, Campbell has volunteers and a trailer of suppluies ready to serve by cleaning up and helping the American Red Cross, among other organizations, to assist families who have lost their homes and livelihood.

International Ministries

Rainbow Network
Campbell UMC is partnered strongly with Rainbow Network, a ministry organization founded right here in Springfield with the mission of bringing hope to families and communities in Nicaragua.
Helen Shepherd, missionary to Mongolia
As a congregation of the United Methodist Church, we support Helen, a nurse serving as a UMC missionary in Mongolia, with our prayers and our gifts.
